What information do we collect?

When you register to this service you'll be asked to provide an e-mail address. We don't store your email as is, it is hashed using a strong one-way algorithm. Then this hash is linked to your company's information and the daily stats of your internet use.

Daily statistics consist of the total amount of data and time spent on the internet per day. We do not collect or store the websites you visit, this information remains on your computer for one day and is then deleted on the next use of your browser.

IPs and other metadata:
When you log in, we record the name of your browser application.
We also may keep server logs which include the IP address of every request to our server.

What do we use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may be used in the following ways:
To provide the core functionality of WeImpactCarbon.
Daily statistics are used to calculate your company's statistics.
The hash of your email and the name of your browser application is used to authenticate you and prevent abuse.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information.
Among other things, all the traffic between your applications and the API, is secured with SSL.

What is our data retention policy?

You can request and download an archive of the all statistics we collected from you.
You may irreversibly delete your account at any time, however we won't delete the statistics collected.
Once your account is deleted, statistics collected from you can no longer be associated with you.
